Abstract: This paper analyzes the demand and supply of higher education, establishes a model on the average scale of the world’s higher education and studies the status of its scale in China. The results are drawn as follows: higher education is not over-scale and needs to promote quality; the structure of higher education isn’t fit for the economic structure; the demand of higher education will gradually increase with the rapid development of economy.
