Abstract:

China Statistics Press published a new book, the Study about Models and Methodologies of Auxiliary Information Applied to Survey sampling, which was authored by Professor Jianping Liu from Jinan University recently. This paper introduced the content of this book briefly, and thought this book included innovative research on the following two aspects. On the first, this book put forward the basic concepts system about survey sampling, and established the methodological basis for subsequent research; on the second, this book set up the systems of models and methodologies about auxiliary information applied to sampling design and sampling estimation, and utilized auxiliary information sufficiently on various phases of survey sampling in order to raise the total sampling precision. This book would promote the research about theory and methodologies of survey sampling, and improve the level of teaching and application of survey sampling after published in China.
