Abstract: Based on the existing survey data, this paper uses international accepted methods to estimate the differentials of regional price level in China. In particular, it validates and assess price data quality, and prove the rationality of the estimated results, explore the effective path to improve the accuracy of the differentials of regional price level. The study shows that the differentials of regional price level look reasonable, they reflect the differentials of regional income level. However, influenced by many factors, the differentials of regional price level show a reducing trend over the time. The paper also points out the difficulties, challenges and limitations faced in study process. Finally, it puts forward some suggestions for improvement in the future.
