Abstract: As the first national statistics organization, The Statistical Society of China was founded in 1930，and whose members mainly worked in Nan-jing National Government. Since it founded, The Statistical Society of China actively committed to spreading statistical knowledge and institutionalized construction through publishing books, the annual session, examining terms, establishing research institutions, training statistics personnel. In large numbers naming, population survey methods, economic index & c., the Statistical Society of China carried out solid academic research, and directly contributed to the society. It also provided important tool and policy reference for the government at all levels and the social organizations to carry out the practice of statistical work.
