Abstract: Abstract: The problem about the Gini coefficient of income distribution is expanding in China has been widely analyzed and identified. But it is deficient to research on the Gini coefficient of social security, based on the income redistribution theory. Social insurance, as one of important means in complementing and adjusting the income redistribution, plays an important role in social welfare resources allocation. In this paper, we used the relative mean difference method to calculate the Gini coefficient, to measure the statistical dispersion of our social insurance for discrete data analysis. It was found that the Gini coefficient of our social insurance has a high level value, and in general, decreased with time, which mainly manifests the uneven development and regional differences between Basic Pension Insurance and other social insurance programs. Therefore, we should further strengthen the national Basic Pension Insurance and Medical Insurance system establishment, set up a national co-ordination system of social insurance, coordinate the balanced developing relations of the social insurance programs, which has important practical significance in reducing our Gini coefficient of income redistribution.
