摘要： 本文回顾了改革开放之初，按照1978年峨嵋会议要求组织全国力量编写《社会经济统计学原理教科书》的过程。作者通过参加编写会议的亲身经历对教材内容、特色、历史作用和影响等进行了介绍，记录了我国统计教育与教材改革与建设的一段历史。

Abstract: The paper reviewed the editing process of “The Textbook of Principle of Social and Economic Statistics” compiled according to the requirements of Emei Conference in 1978,which was a cooperative results by more than 20 colleges and universities. The author introduced the content, characteristics, historic role and impact of this textbook on statistical education according to the experience of attending the editing meetings and recorded a period of history of statistical education and textbook reform and construction.
