Abstract: Calibration estimation which uses known auxiliary information at the estimation stage to improve the precision of the estimators of totals and means has been widely used in survey sampling. In the present investigation, new calibration approach combined regression estimator is proposed, and asymptotical variance estimator of the proposed estimator is given. The new estimator has been extended to stratified double sampling and results of a computer-based random simulation study on the performance of the new estimator are reported.
