Abstract: The rapid development of transportation infrastructure and Internet technology has profoundly changed the mode of trade in services. Therefore, this paper explores the impact of the spatial connectivity of producer services on the regional transfer of manufacturing industry, which is of significance to building a coordinated, sustainable and high-quality regional economic structure. Based on theoretical analysis and empirical research on industry-region data, this paper finds that the spatial connectivity of producer services significantly promotes the migration of regional manufacturing industry, and the development of transportation infrastructure and information technology can both enhance this effect. Heterogeneity analysis also shows that the spatial connectivity of producer services only plays a positive role in promoting the migration of labor-intensive and capital-intensive manufacturing industries in the region and manufacturing industries in the eastern region of China. And the spatial connectivity of low-end producer services has a greater promoting effect on regional manufacturing industry migration than that of high-end producer services. From the perspective of spatial connectivity of producer services, this paper provides reference basis and policy enlightenment for solving the problem of slow regional transfer of manufacturing industry.
