Abstract: First, the macro-institutional analysis on China’s economic growth in 1984-1995 was made; then, four institutional variables were shown; and finally, the quantitative relation between this variables and economic growth were measured. The author holds that owing to a wide leeway for the change of macro institution, this factor will still be an important driving force for future economic growth of our country.
