Abstract: By comparing the China’s poverty line and international poverty line, and on the basis of China’s rural survey data ,this paper estimates China’s rural poverty adopting four types of poverty indices. The main finding is that first, the results estimated by China’s poverty line are very different from the results by international poverty line ,which make the adjusting of anti-poverty policies more difficult; Second, the exit time resulted from inequality becomes more and more longer relatively, which should be taken care for poverty alleviation
