Abstract: Real estate price index is key market information for governments, real estate operators, consumers and economics researchers. By analyzing function orientation of real estate price index and frequent de-signing methods domestic and abroad, while considering the realities in China, this paper discusses appro-pilate designing method of real estate price index and also provides a framework.
