Abstract: Since the reform and opening up, the economic statistics has not been able to establish it's own new knowledge system, instead it is gradually inundated by other courses in colleges and universities teaching. The main reason is that it didn't properly handle relationship between economic statistics and the SNA and the econometrics, but blindly follows the mathematics. The future for the economic statistics lies in utilizing the experience of developed countries and the international organizations, building an economic statistical knowledge system, which is suitable to the situation of China, while emphasizes the research, economic statistics indicator.
