Abstract: The WTO rules forbidden export subsidies. Under this ground, the research on the role of production subsidies in promoting exports, is becoming the important part of trade policy study and there is a very important policy meaning. The article analyzes production subsidy from two channels: reducing production costs and providing financial support, and adopting logit and linear model to analyze the relationship between production subsidy and export subsidies based on enterprise data. From the results, production subsidies can push firm into export market, and promote export firm’s export scale, the conclusion is still robust under controlling the variables such as industry, area and state-owned enterprises.
