Abstract: Informatization is an important factor influencing on the regional economic development. Based on China’s relevant materials of regional informatization development in recent years，using variable intercept of panel data analysis，varying coefficient models and so on，the effect of regional informatization on regional economic growth are analyzed in terms of general index and sub-index. Results show that，eastern region informatization index level is walking the national forefront in China and growth speed of western region informatization index is developing powerfully, this can make positive effect on regional economic growth. Along with the rapid growth of midwestern informatization，the regional informatization gap between regions is narrowing，the impact of informatization on regional economic growth has been coordinate.
