摘要:

本文将“熊彼特创新”概念引入至空间经济学城市分析框架中,建立了中间产品创新的城市经济发展均衡模型,重点分析了企业创新成功率与城市规模之间的关系,并运用1998年至2007年中国工业企业数据进行了城市层面的计量检验。结果发现,无论是以人口规模为衡量的绝对规模还是相对规模,抑或是以GDP为衡量的市场规模,企业创新成功率与城市规模之间都呈现为倒U型关系,因此需要防止城市过大或过小而造成的效率损失。计量结果也显示出,创新能力越强的企业越倾向于市场规模越大的城市,市场选择效应显著;同时,劳动者人力资本素质的提升对企业创新成功率具有正向推动作用;基础设施的改善同样具有显著正效应;而高房价则对企业创新成功率具有负效应。

Abstract:

It introduces the concept of Schumpeter’s innovation into the analysis framework of spatial economics. It establishes the model of urban economic development using the innovation of intermediate products, and focuses on the relationship between the success rate of enterprise innovation and the city scale. It also carries on the quantitative analysis by using the data of China's industrial firms from 1998 to 2007. It finds that there is an inverted U relationship between the success rate of enterprise innovation and the city, weather using the absolute size model, the relative size model, or the market size measured by GDP. It is therefore necessary to prevent the loss of the efficiency caused by the excessive or too small size of the cities. At the same time, the improvement of the quality of human capital has a positive effect on the success rate of the product innovation, as well as the improvement of the infrastructure, while high housing prices have a negative effect.
