Abstract: This paper reviews the progress of the construction of Basic Unit Database in China, and focus on describes the status of China’s Statistical Unit database’s before and after of the implementation of statistical "Four Major Programs". And using international experience for the construction of Basic Unit Database in China; then, raise the current problems that should be solved and future prospects for development.
