Abstract: Based on a sampling survey about Beijing residents’ life time allocation in 2011 from Leisure Economy Research Center of Renmin University of China, this paper used statistical method to analyze residents’ commuting time in Beijing, according to different gender, age, education level, occupation, employment time per week and family members. And by using multiple linear regression method, this paper also analyzed the determinants that impacted on residents’ commuting time in Beijing. At last, some suggestions of relieving Beijing traffic pressure are proposed .
