Abstract: Aiming to optimize rural residents’ consumption patterns, this paper carried out an analysis on its changing circumstances on the basis of Clustering Analysis by making use of Gray Correlation analytic model. The survey indicated that the rural residents’ consumption patterns have been improved, and the dominant of consumption patterns is transferring from living materials to enjoyment and developing materials. However, there still exist some factors restricting the optimization of consumption patterns. Therefore, the paper put forward proposals to solve them.
