Abstract: With the rapid development of economic and social, the objects in the sampling survey flowing increasingly frequent. Traditional single sampling frame is difficult to cover the overall goal of mobility because of the high cost and the long process. Sometimes using a combination of two incomplete sampling frames is completely able to cover the population. If we carry on the sample investigation based on the dual sampling frames, its sample design is not difficult, but its sampling estimation is very difficulty because of the sample exists in two sampling frames overlapping. Based on this, the article systematically discuss present overseas existing dual sampling frame estimation methods, and divides these methods into the separation sampling frame estimation and the combination sampling frame estimation, and according to the unified pattern to compare the effect of each estimation method. Finally the article prospects the application of the dual sampling frames in our country.
