Abstract: System of statistical methods is the foundation and standard for statistical work. Establishing the statistical methods system which is suitable for China’s national conditions is an important premise to provide the statistical data with good quality for users. This paper firstly introduces the current system of statistical methods in China, summarizes the characteristics and problems, then starting from the reality, establishes the general idea and principles for the reform of statistical methods, at last proposes specific measures to be taken.
