Abstract: The paper discusses the current situation of statistical staff of China, researches the relationshipbetween scientific system of statistics and origin sciences and application sciences, as well as therelationship of each branch sciences of statistics, forwards “the thought of constructing statistics as firstlevel category science in China and some problems to solve.
