Abstract: Irregular economy is omnipresent in our economical life. Quantitative research on irregular economy is not only needed to balance the data in national accounts, but also an important basis for strengthening macro-economic management. The paper has systematically introduced a variety of methods and standpoints of measuring irregular economy abroad and made an objective evaluation on the suitability of these methods for our country.
