Abstract: “General Statistics”, as an innovatory conception, is reasonable because it accords with the inherent requirements and general trend of the subject development. However, is it can be builded as an integrated discipline or what train of thought we should follow in order to build it? Is it necessary to adjust the teaching system, reform the contents of teaching materials and rename the subject in accordance with the design of “General Statistics” ? And how to look up on treat various branches of the statistics and interrelations between various schools? All these issues in fact are closely related to the correct understanding of “unity” and “discrepancy” of inner-statistics. From the aspect, the author tries to make a detailed analysis on the relevant issues.
